What makes a good dairy goat?

The answer will all depend on who you ask. When searching for your next animal you should look for a breeder with similar goals to what you are wanting. There is no black and white answer for every situation.

My Vision of a Great Dairy Goat:

The traits I strive to create in my animals is good milking ability, that means soft pliable udders, well structured udders that are well attached and a strong body to carry that udder for many years to come. I believe a good dairy goat should be sustainable to maintain that means not having to pour grain or suppliments into them to achieve good milk or body condition. Goats are naturally suited to living off a diet of mainly browsing.
